What a great way to wake up! This Steemit experiment is fantastic!

Very positive for Steemit
I much rather see many lower-paid posts than a few top posts. This way (almost) everybody benefits.
I also have noticed that my vote is worth (a lot!) more and that’s great fun.
I’m even contemplating powering up the rest of my Steem because of it.
For so many new people it’s never possible to get to the trending page anyway. But now it’s possible to at least earn something too! Even with commenting. A good reason to stick around and build a following. It's what Steemit needs! More users that stay.
I think this is fantastic and very positive for Steemit!
My respects to the people trying out this experiment and trying to make this platform better.

I noticed my voting power explode as well. Very cool, plus have you seen the Steem Whales? Very few powering down compared to before. I am hoping for a moon shot for Steem in the next few weeks. The experiment should have been announced as many people are upset.

I think people forget that we are still in beta and now is actually the time to experiment.
We have to try things out in order to learn and see the consequences.
We need to see the big picture here. The concept of Steemit is unique in history so yes we are part of one big experiment here including the whales.
To me it shows the whales care about the platform.
If there is one thing that has come out of it is that I think Steemit needs like a notice board that all can go to find out what is going on or perhaps bot that informed of such things.
In my experience people just like to be informed.
If all knew it was an experiment then all would have acted differently in that they might have taken advantage of having more voting power. That is the only fault I can find in this test.
I would have liked them to coordinate with the development team to put a no Down Vote/Up Vote for a certain steem power as a soft fork for a limited time. Then the experiment would have been 100% accurate as to the outcome and effect, and would not have required the flagging to balance it out.
The key is cooperation and people convincing the developers. No clue how realistic the chances of that are or not.
I have seen it, man. That plus this amazing experiment made me decide to but more Steem this morning.

I was just thinking about "the implications" of this experiment, and then considering all the protests... and then I laughed to myself about the way people always want change, but they become terribly upset when they have to deal with the actual process of that change. You can't have it both ways, sorry!
Meanwhile, I remain very bullish on Steemit!
I am also very bullish! My voting power went up from 1 cent to 3 cents because of this experiment. That's amazing.

As a minnow I don't see anything happening to my vote but I agree with you that a discussion can finally happen. How can the whales know how the little people of the community feels when they downvote us, muzzle us by downvoting comments and hate on minnows.
"Move along little minnows. Nothing here to see. Kindly step aside." As harsh as this is to the whales to me it is a breath of fresh air on Steemit. Bring it all out and let's wash the dirty laundry. Fix what is broken.
Just keep doing what you are doing and you wont be a minnow for long!

Thank you but I wish I could see what you see. My posts only get a low value. How could I possibly get anywhere without putting my own money in. Is it possible you could tell me what I'm doing wrong on my posts? Is it the title? Right follows or certain topics? Should I read certain posts?
I think you are doing very well, just keep doing what you like and don't think about the money so much. You should be proud of what you are getting, and just keep doing it.
I'm sorry but I don't agree with you. I also don't want to discuss it because it will kill my positive vibe. And Funny, I just got downvoted myself (while writing this) and guess what it doesn't bother me at all. Why? because I'm a positive person and I also know why they are doing it and I agree. I also recommend you stop with the annoying gifs on all your comments. They are rather irritating.

I wish more would see it this way.
I've spent a lot of time on other writing platforms and social media sites (more time than I'd care to admit really), and I have to say that, with the exception of a couple of subreddits, Steemit seems to have one of the most excited and engaged communities on the Internet.
I've been looking for a viable Reddit alternative for a while now, and I'm thinking I just might have found it.
Finally hit my goal of $0.01 an upvote......although not in the way I expected lol
Congratulations. It's all down to the experiment. It makes me excited. Normal users haveing more influence. My vote went up from 1 cent to 3 cents!

It has made me slightly more conscious of throwing around random upvotes and made me slightly more picky but in a good way. Now I want to get those cents out there!

Yes the positivity had to be kept up. It's easy for some to forget how amazing and revolutionary this platform has been and is being!
On steemit I approach every day as a new day and can't wait to see how its changed.
