Donation Earnings Update:

As a show of good faith, I'm going to donate the first $25 matching contribution. I'll update this post with my proof of donation upon completion.

EDIT: Here's the proof of my donation (I redacted most of the numbers from the transaction number because I'm slightly paranoid.. but I think I accidentally drew something that looks almost like a whale?)

I also received this e-mail confirmation:

Today's Update:

I broke 10,000 steps every day so far this week! I had a couple of "close calls", barely breaking 10k steps, but this is not an easy feat and I'm proud to continue achieving these numbers on top of my daily schedule.

My activities today:

  1. Morning Run - although it was a shorter distance run this morning because I had to be at the office earlier today for a meeting.
  2. General walking around.
  3. Walking to the subway / my office.
  4. Walking around my office.
  5. I will walk around airports today, and take longer routes to my destinations as opposed to the quickest and most direct route.
  6. I will walk around my house when I arrive home, to make sure my 10k steps are completed today!

P.S. - I remembered to switch this post back to 50-50 rewards!

Upvotes and/or Comments of Encouragement are all greatly appreciated.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Great challenge, thanks for inspiring people to do something for a good cause.

It's really nice to be able to participate in an event like this. You have the opportunity to support and spread the word about a great cause .. and you get to be a little selfish (exercising / becoming more fit) at the same time. Granted, the exercising part is far from easy, so you need to be at least a little selfless.

Walking/Running 10,000+ steps per day for the last 2.5 weeks has been seriously challenging. Knowing that the momentary pain I'm feeling is going towards supporting such a great cause makes everything worth it though!

Thank you for your support! :)

It feels good to be able to help those in need, it is one thing that contributes to happiness.

Surely the momentary pain also releases those endorphins that trigger a positive feeling.

Actually, I wanted to tell you that I was able to wake up early and go to the pool, and it only happened one time lol. It felt really good. I want to wake up early again however challenging.

Haha, those endorphins only last so long :)

That's awesome! If I'm being honest, I only made it out early in the morning once this week. I had a few late nights this week (partially due to not working out in the morning and having to get my steps in at night). I only made it out in the morning today for the first time this work-week, and I was only able to run for about 10 minutes because I started much later than I needed to. I definitely understand that mornings are tough!!

u might want to try my bot, send any amount for an upvote.

Thanks for the offer. I'm not exactly a bot supporter though. If people feel like upvoting out of the goodness of their heart, or because they like content, then they will upvote.

Paying for an upvote is counter-productive to the Steemit Community, unnecessarily drains the rewards pool, and provides payments to bot owners for something that is free to them.

Also, you're more than welcome to send money to your bot for me. I'm not against accepting the votes from others, I just choose to not perform the votes on myself.

There have been times where I used a bot to provide a post a higher upvote than I could because my voting power was low and I felt that the post deserved more of a vote than what I could provide.

@fundraisers has resteemed this post.

All posts that use the TAG # fundrasiers get resteemed by @fundraisers in the aim to make a page here on Steemit where posts like these can be found easily and voted on even easier.

Steem on!

Thanks for the information! I will consider using this tag in the future :)
