Today's Update:

As a participant in the Steptember Challenge, the "Steptember Team" sends out helpful hints and tips on how to reach your daily 10,000 step goal, even if you're sitting at a desk all day during the week (like me).

Yesterday we received this wonderful video link to Meet Akiva, a Bright Seven Year Old Boy (video link on the Steptember Site). Kids (and adults) like Akiva are who we are working to support during this month-long challenge.

After my challenge is over, their challenge will continue. Every time that I feel tired or discouraged about the difficult feat that I need to perform every day during this challenge, I think about the people who I am trying to help support by participating in this challenge.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I failed on Sunday. You might wonder how I was above 70,000 steps last week when this is showing only 69,560; the reason is simple - I didn't wear my pedometer in the morning because it was charging. I know that my typical steps in the morning based on how I walked around on Sunday was around 850 steps, so I manually added those to my total.

Monday was a great day! Tuesday was pretty good, and today I'm making additional walking plans so I stay on track for 10,000+ steps again today.

My activities today:

1. General walking around.
2. Working out at the gym this morning for about 45 minutes.
3. Walking to the subway / my office.
4. Walking around my office more frequently.
5. Trying to Reach 10k steps without my usual morning run! (I need to give my legs/body a rest. Last week was too much too often. I will pick my running back up tomorrow!)
6. I will walk a longer distance to get lunch today.
7. I will walk to a different subway stop on my way back home, about 1/2 miles or so farther away my usual stop.

Today was the first day that I received a payout from one of my Steptember Posts:

I checked a few sources to make sure that I know the correct amount of SBD. steemvote.com, steemdb.com and steemd.com all gave me the same answer. I will be donating the 0.437 SBD portion of my rewards toward my Steptember Challenge.

Based on CoinMarketCap.com, the current value of SBD is $0.931251. This means that the donation I will be allocating toward my Steptember Challenge is $0.41 (this amount, and all future amounts, will be rounded to the nearest $0.01).

Based on this result, I will donate in bulk as the donation value increases above $5 or $10 (depending on how much more value comes from future posts). I will continue to post the tracking of value and follow-up with evidence of my actual donations as I make them.
