Life At The Speed Of TIME

in #life6 years ago (edited)

Have you ever had an instance where time just flew on by? It seemed like only a couple of weeks passed since my last post, so I login and notice it's been two freaking months! If you ever see me disappear it's almost always related to classes. I took what was supposed to be an "easy A" course over the summer which ended up being anything but that. Then signed up for fall classes (one being psychology) which I was also assured would be as easy as pottery making. I had a choice between that or sociology and was told psych was "easy peasy" RIGHT! That was a HUGE MISTAKE, like something out of Murphy's law which ended up burning valuable time in a glitchy online course.

It's just a matter of TIME...

We have 8 minutes for our tests. That’s 10 questions in those 8 minutes, seems easy right? Takes 45 seconds to load the page and if you lose connection, the clock just keeps on ticking. Luckily you can take the test unlimited times but with different questions. So that's where I've been all this time. I peeked in here a few weeks ago and saw the chaos of HF20 and hope they've got that all worked out by now. Isn't it odd that when you're grinding away at some drudgery, time just seems to s-l-o-w d-o-w-n, but when you need every single second, the clock moves at the speed of light? I would make this post longer, but now I'm out of time.

Thank you so much!

Those classes that are supposed to be easy and then aren't... those are the worst. You go in with a specific expectation of what things will be like and then are let down hard.

Glad to have you back though. Hopefully you get your footing soon. Keep a closer eye on how much activity you do because it will burn through your resource credits fairly quickly.

Thanks, I saw the uproar over that a few weeks ago. I try to keep my numbers in the high 90's and hope this change is for the better.

It was a whole big thing. First there were the issues in the week leading up to HF20, and then HF20 was just a mess.

The resource credits are different than Voting Power. VP is only used for voting. Resource Credits (RC) is used for everything. You should have enough RCs to do a fair amount of interacting without issue though.
