The Chlorella Project and steemit: Food For Thought

My husband had a dream last night. When he wakes up and starts mumbling things at me, I've learned to listen, as it is not the first time that his night time travels have shown him things to come.

In this dream he was driving on a back road through beautiful country and passed an aging man struggling with a beehive. He backed up and got out, offering to lend a hand, and found he was looking at an older version of himself.

This other him had injured his hand, so he grabbed a veil and helped him work while the older him stated "Welcome to the Chlorella Project" He looked around and saw a house, and on the porch was my mother weaving a basket. Beyond the house there was a vineyard and an orchard where he could see people hard at work, while others were simply wandering. He spotted a woman on a chair in front of an easel, painting the scene.

The older him then took him to the house where an older me was cooking something on the stove, and turned to give him a knowing smile.

"We started the Chlorella project some years back", the older him explained, "where anyone in the world can come and stay for seventy two hours and work on a variety of different things. Some come to write, some to make art, some to work in the vineyards and orchards, some with the bees. It became a movement and chlorella projects popped up all over the globe, essentially you can go on vacation from one project to the next learning to different things or being inspired with your art by the different atmospheres and cultures."

The older me then turned on a computer and what he saw on the top left of the screen was bitcoin in the number one spot..and steem right under it at number two.

This is when he woke up.

I did a search on Chlorella and found this in wiki:

Chlorella is a genus of single-cell green algae. Through photosynthesis, it multiplies rapidly, requiring only carbon dioxide, water, sunlight, and a small amount of minerals to reproduce.

Many people believe Chlorella can serve as a potential source of food and energy because its photosynthetic efficiency can, in theory, reach 8%,which exceeds that of other highly efficient crops such as sugar cane.

Chlorella is a potential food source because it is high in protein and other essential nutrients; when dried, it is about 45% protein, 20% fat, 20% carbohydrate, 5% fiber, and 10% minerals and vitamins. Mass-production methods are now being used to cultivate it in large artificial circular ponds. It is also abundant in calories and vitamins.

When first harvested, Chlorella suggested as an inexpensive protein supplement to the human diet. Advocates sometimes focus on other supposed health benefits of the algae, such as claims of weight control, cancer prevention, and immune system support.

Is this project in my future, or in the future of the steemit community? Well it remains to be seen, but we've always hoped to have a large homestead for our retirement years, and we love to share and learn from others, so it is definitely something to consider.

Great idea. There is wisdom in dreams, but sometimes it's hard to understand what they mean. This one is far clearer than most of mine.

Mine as well, I usually have fragments of scenes that stay with me when I wake up. My husband is unusual :)

WOW what a interesting full dream :)

I know, it gave me goosebumps when he told me. I could really see it :)

Its very clear maybe this is your future :)

If so, I would love for you to come for a retreat! :)

That would be lovely :)

Very interesting the dream of her husband, but better ahun her interpretation of it to be able to write this magnificent post, thank you dear friend @dreemit

I appreciate your visits so very much my loyal friend @jlufer!

I've always relied on dreams (perhaps too much), so I definitely think there's merit to that. That sounds like an awesome project, one that has such a huge potential. Consider the dream your blueprint, now you two go lay the foundation! Just always remind your husband to be careful not to injure his hand :D

(BTW I drink Chlorella, and while it doesn't taste great, it's a good pick-me-up in the morning)

It does feel like a blueprint! I've laughed about this in the past with him, he has a dream and suddenly we're taking steps to 'make that dream come true', or bring it to fruition. I wonder, was it a look into the future, or was it a prompt that caused us to create that future?
LOL, yeah not much that's good for you tastes great. I'm always a little suspicious of the nutritional value of something when I like it too much, haha!

A look into the future can be a prompt, in a sort of self-fulfilling way. I like how it would be a literal interpretation of making dreams come true haha

Wow. I have a dream of having a kind of retreat, though it could be anywhere including inner city. The main point would be to go into a totally new environment, away from all the usual habits and triggers, kind of like rehab, but for food. For people with allergies, maybe, who need to go on the GAPS diet. They would stay for about 4 days, which would be long enough to do two things - break the physiological addictions, and learn how to prepare real food.

That sounds like an excellent Chlorella project idea ;) I envision a logo that will become synonymous with this project and signs with this symbol pointing the way with approximate distance to host...and this is either synchronicity at its finest or self-fulfilling prophecy, but we just bought an acre of land...today! We were told about it becoming available last night and decided to go and talk to the owner, and he accepted our offer! Crazy! I will most likely blog about it once we get the parcel cleaned up, or perhaps during the cleaning process this spring...it's good farm land, or a small orchard could be planted. Not grapevines though, for those you need an incline. It also has a building with well and septic.. we really needed the bigger space for processing our grapevine cuttings but didn't think we'd be in a position to get anything until next year. Pretty exciting :)

Oh, for entertainment, I am commenting at nonames, the subject is farting...LOL

Oh better tell @sift666 about that - I'm sure he has many things to say about farting.

That is all very exciting. But I'm surprised about grapevines needing an incline. I have a picture in my mind of vineyards in then Marlborough region here, and the Wairarapa, and that image is quite flat. Or is it a tiny incline that wouldn't be noticeable to the naked eye?

I actually think it might depend on the variety. I have seen some flat vineyards, but for the most part around here they're planted on sweeping slopes. I'd have to ask my husband why.

Will be interested to see how it all pans out

OH my.. got a tingling in my head when I read this. You replied on a post of mine and it caught my eye considering my dad used to give me Chlorella capsules so I had to check it out. It's amazing because I feel dreams can point us in the right direction or give us insight into the unmanifested realm so we can manifest it. Please keep in touch! :)

That's awesome! The crazy thing is I knew virtually nothing about it until I looked it up after he relayed his dream. I agree about the insight and love the way you put that "unmanifested realm so we can manifest it" :) I absolutely will keep in touch, much love and joy to you on your quest!
