One of my favorite books is "Emotional Intelligence 2.0", written by Travis Bradberry and Jean Greaves. It is one of my favorites, because of the impact it has had in my life. It seems that I encounter opportunities to practice the lessons covered in this book daily. It is for this reason, that this book is one of my favorites.

The authors of this book give the readers a warning, which I found simple yet profound. The authors warn the readers to think twice before making decisions during emotionally charged moments. This part seems obvious to me, yet the authors dug a little deeper into the topic. It seemed obvious to me, that I should use caution in making decisions while feeling depressed or anxious. Yet it never occurred to me, that I should be even more cautious about the decisions I make while riding an emotional high.

This is not a one-time lesson. It is a lesson that I have failed numerous times, both during highs and lows. Even as recent as a few weeks ago, I have encountered this lesson while investing into the crypto market. I allowed my emotions to persuade me to make decisions, that cost me money. Money that I would not have lost, had I acted less emotionally. Though the event that triggered my emotionals was something I could never have predicted. My response and actions taken, were the actual cause of me losing money.

So whether you find yourself smiling ear-to-ear on an emotional high; with your head in the pillow surviving an emotional low, or just somewhere in between. I invite you to take a step back and we focused on your priorities, before making any important decisions. Take a moment and revisit your goals, and maybe even reflect on your journey up to now. It might just give you a different perspective on the situation you're facing.

There have been numerous times in my life, where I allowed myself to back off a particular goa,l due to how I felt it was going.. I then become distracted, and ultimately give up on it completely. Only to discover, months later, that not only was I right on track, but there were unforseen blessings. That would have come available, if I had only pushed through my feelings.

As we go through our steemit journey. We are going to be tempted to give up. Even now I'm sure there are more then a few, who are fighting that same feeling. Yet I remind you, that there are blessings waiting for you in the near future. These blessing will either magnify your decision to push through, or leave you wishing "if only I had". The choice is your. During times like these, you might need to remind yourself of what is true. Even if it doesn't feel true right now.

With the rise in so many other cryotos, it can feel disheartening to look at the price of Steem. I've spent countless hours listening to different people, who through their experience. Have proven the value of their opinion. Yet whenever I've heard Steem mentioned by the different crypto personalities, like Clif High for example. They are usually speaking of it on a positive light. They express full faith in the longevity of the steem block chain. They comment on the integrity behind it's technology, and even the culture of its community.

Then let's not forget that only 3% of the world population has heard of cryptocurrencies. Only 1% of the world's population owns cryptocurrencies, with a predicted 3% joining by summer 2018. I'm not pretending to be an expert in cryptocurrencies, the information I share is just simple things I've heard mentioned by people significantly more experienced in the crypto market then I am.

I have no idea why the price of steem is so low. It's my opinion that it has something to do with money flowing to all the other currencies. Trying to chase quick profits. Yet I firmly believe that somewhere in the not-so-distant future. It will be difficult to convince others steem was ever at $1.37, and it will be even more difficult to explain why I did not stockpile it when it was.

This is the time to push through. While others become disheartened, or distracted with the holidays and life events. There will be a small percentage among us, that did not slow down. There will be even a smaller number, that actually ran faster and worked harder. They will the ones who's efforts were are multiplied by the unforseen blessings. They will be the ones envied by those who will call them lucky. The question is will you or I be one of them? The answer to this question will not be realized till later on.
