Amazing MARS City - UAE is Building
The government of UAE (United Arab Emirates) is set to build a "Mars City" on earth for scientific purpose.
The scientists from all over the world are currently working together and the goal is to simulate the conditions human would be facing living on Mars.
This is a AED500 million city (around US$136 million) project and the city will be spread across over 1.9 million square feet. The whole city will be built in accordance to the environment of Mars.
In recent years NASA's curiosity of proof of water on Mars if it is true than life can exist on Mars and we human to make a shift there sooner or later.
The country objective is to lead the scientific race and taking people to Mars.
The Mars Colony will contain food, water, research centers. The city will have 3D printed walls using sands from the deserts of UAE.
There is also going to be Museum that will show the accomplishments made in the scientific field which will significantly expand the interest of youth's in the field which will likewise make the young generation inquisitive and excited about searching for life on another planet.

That little city is all well and everything, until a meteorite comes crashing through the ceiling (dome)! Remember, there is little atmosphere on Mars that could burn up small metorites that enter the atmoshphere like on earth. Mars, as peaceful and serene as it appears, is a rather inhospitable place.
a valid point, @retiredinsamar. Perhaps a Mars version would have to be covered better. That would lead to a problem having enough light for the plants - a drawback that would have to be solved.
This is a good development from the the UAE government. SpaceX too plans to achieve true space exploration soon. I hope to be part of the first colonists of the red planet. Nice post @danzy.

How about making it into a facility to send all of Earth's assholes to? Instead of a research center on which Earth laws will not apply?
