How I got started in Softcore movies - Part 1
Beginnings
From "The Lair" to "Co-Ed Confidential"
(Me with Dena and Jennifer between takes in Miami for Co-Ed Confidential season 3)
It was the spring of 2008 and I had been surfing on couches in Los Angeles for about four months. Eventually I would reach the grand total of 11 couches and 22 roommates over the course of the 2 years I lived there... but that is a #story for another day.
My girlfriend at the time, who is now a very well known porn star, had let me know I was no longer welcome. Although being a kind hearted woman she was a little unhinged.
It was a about midday day. I grabbed a bus to the beach and as I arrived the sun started peeking through the clouds. I pulled out my camera and started shooting.
(Surfer's in Santa Monica, California)
My mood started to lift. At least I could make something decent out of this day. I was not looking forward to the process of finding a new place to live. A short while later my phone rang. It was the producer on a show I had just auditioned for. They were offering me a role!
I started filming "The Lair" the following week. "The Lair" was an LGBT vampire series that ran on HERE TV! for 3 seasons. I played the lover of a werewolf.
While I was filming "The Lair" I auditioned for Co-ed Confidential and the rest is history.
(Michelle Maylene and I shooting a love scene for season 3)
A few months later I was given 7 days notice, signed my contracts and boarded a plane for Miami. We shot on the beaches...
And in the houses...
I even got to play in a topless Jello-shot competition!
Those were some great times.
Co-Ed Confidential still plays in reruns on Cinemax and is now screened in over three dozen different countries. Love to hear your comments and questions! Want to know who my favorite actresses to shoot with are? Do you want to hear about that time I road with Mary Carey to set in Santa Clarita in her pink corvette?

Now that is living!
It was nice for a while! The women are worked with are all fantastic :-) I look back and have very fond memories of being a working actor.
I think it's awesome that you took the opportunities that live gave you and you ran with them.
Thank you! Some of my contemporaries were not too complimentary lol but I made a movie based on some of my experiences getting started and that has been received fairly well :-) www.grindermovie.com
