The dog has been revered as a companion of humans throughout the ages, but how often do we look at what we can learn from the dog and not blankly stare at the possibilities of what we can train the dog to do, here are a few of the lessons that we can take and apply to our own lives from our dear companion; The Dog:

No time like the present:

When it comes to the and the faithful peaceful nature that it embodies it is plain to see that the dog does not hold too much regard for the future and it hardly clings on to trivial accounts of the past; the dog lives his life in the here and now. You can find the dog at any given moment and see that he will merely observe his current situation then act on that, whether this entails bouncing up and down or shutting his eyes for a nap.

You see the truth is that we do not necessarily need an opinion of every single thing in life, we can also learn to live in the moment and let go of the things that does not serve us, including worries of the future as well as things of the past.

A simple life can be a good thing:

We are truly happy when we allow ourselves to enjoy the little things in life and realize that life is so much more than our material possessions and our affiliations. The dog can lead a very happy full life by simply the fact that it allows itself to be happy with all the small blessings that he encounters every day, we can do the same once we acknowledge that we do not need many things in our lives in order for us to maintain a happy existence, we just need realize how much joy is rendered in our daily yet overlooked blessings.

Perfection is a perception:

The dog is one of our great masters when it comes to acceptance, as we all know nobody is perfect however the dog makes a point to look past exterior appearances and except something or someone for who they are, not for what they look like or what they are capable of doing. We can also learn to be more excepting of others too.
