Mahasamutr: The US$1.5 Million Exclusive Villas in Hua Hin, Thailand.
Would you like to live on the biggest man-made lagoon in Asia, a few minutes away from the beach? Well if you have nearly two million dollars you can. I was first made away of the ambitious Mahasamutr Project by steemit legend @knozaki2015 , when he posted about it HERE a few months ago. So, when I found myself in Hua Hin this week, I decided to check it out for myself.
MAHASAMUTR
The 80 Villa project on the outskirts of Hua Hin is being constructed by Pace Developments, who recently brought us the tallest building in Thailand, the Mahanakorn Tower in Bangkok. So, they at least have some form with large projects. This development is being built about 200 kilometres to the south of Bangkok. The centrepiece is without a doubt the 72,000 sq. metre lake upon which all of the villas face. The lake will be used for a variety of non-moterized watersports such as sailing, kayaking and swimming.
THE VILLAS
All of the villas in the project are 4 bedroom and 5 bathroom, and range in price from US$1.5 million to US$1.9 million. There are 4 styles of villa to choose from which vary in size from 447-587 sq. metres living area. Every villa faces onto the expansive lake.

THE VERDICT
THis is surely a stunning development, and I would love to have a property here...BUT...it simply doesn't represent good value for money. To put it in perspective, for about US$1 million I could buy a pure beachfront property in the same region, and then leave myself the best part of another million dollars to build a home on it, and for that money I could build something a lot better than what is on offer here. I hope to see the project completed, and perhaps the prices to one day more realistically reflect their true market price.
yeah... knock off a zero and then you've got my attention! lol
This is the strange thing about Thailand, they do really cheap...and really expensive. They seem to get lost in the middle ground. Honestly, a realistic value on these villas would be somewhere around US$300k. They're just trying to pitch the top 1% who don't care.
Crazy that they haven't put solar panels on the roof of each one in a sunny place like this!
That's a really good point.
yeah. I really liked it, just a few details. no own pool for 1.5million usd...
the price well I would say 750K would be the max these villas are worth.
hope you enjoyed your trip to hua hin ;)
No pool, no privacy wand way-overpriced. I had a great time in Hua Hin :)

No, I didn;t go there, but I did discover this great little place :)
