When civilization cracked, or, the wisdom of our ancestors

in #life5 years ago

How many accidents can unbalance us and put us in a stressful state. The blessings of civilization make us defenseless. A simple shutdown of water for repairs, this is a big blow to our foundations. Today I experienced three stresses at once, which made me smile and write this post.
We woke up in the morning, and it turned out that there was no water. I needed to turn on the wit, turn off the boiler, connect to the central hot water supply and get hot water for washing hands and, excuse me, I had to flush the toilet. It was not the easiest task, but, she did not solve the issue of cooking. It needed drinking water.

What we are all accustomed to, comfort, could not help me in this.

I had to resort to the wisdom of our ancestors, who did not depend on the central water supply and the availability of electricity in the network.
I knew that in the next garage cooperative there is a well, the water is not the worst there, there is a lot of calcium in it, but it’s not as bad as the total lack of water. I went there.

This well is quite technological, there is no electric thrust, the pump works on muscular strength, and this is not bad.

Here you can touch the shrines of the Orthodox Church. The well was consecrated by Orthodox priests.

Even the discharge of excess water is provided here.

This well is more than 15 meters deep. At this depth is an underground river, it is a very powerful stream that does not depend on pumping stations. He just is for our good.

Our ancestors experienced less stress. It was enough for them to wake up early in the morning and go for water. They did this regularly and it was not an unnecessary burden for them. They observed the sunrise and the beauty of nature more often.

When I was near the well, I took the opportunity and took some pictures of flowers that went into hibernation.

When I took the water and started driving out of the garage cooperative, a light came on, which told me that the gas in the car's cylinder had run out. Stress!
I arrived at the gas station, but, it does not work, repair work and there is no electricity. Stress! Civilization, or the wisdom of the ancestors? What to strive for?
