Based on your story, I think the most important bit was the purity and clarity of your intent, and that you were able to 'release' the intent into the universe... that's what I focus on when I'm 'casting'... Isn't it funny how the soul will take things literally sometimes? i.e. the 'rural' street being its actual name :)
100% the most important thing is intent, I'm not quite sure what you mean by purity though - would you mind expounding upon that idea, please?
Yes, hahaha, when I noticed the street name I had a good chuckle. The subconscious mind speaks in nonlinear thought, so visualization/symbols work better than writing something out and memorizing it, its hilarious when the subconscious mind puts things into linear thought as a response to the conscious mind.
Great work sounds like a good casting. Not see you for a while been struggling to keep up with all the posts, so picking subjects and reading what comes up. So you appeared. Great work on the house an hope the property continues for you.
Not ever done a casting of such. But a few months ago in my old place I was in the woods having a fire and chanting as I like to. My relationship was all but over and I prayed to the fire and oddly was drawn to drop some blood in the fire (never done anything like that before). I prayed for a peaceful brake and a few things. Well jump on those months and we have split reasonably well and things are looking up. Not everything had come about but things are looking good so who knows.
A future for me in it maybe. Although I am heading down the route of Shamanism. Its calling me so that appears to be my path :)
How do you define as "success" in magic?
First spell I created was a rain spell, I chanted it and it drizzled...coincidence? Another one was an "attention" spell to get my crush to notice me. It worked but result was not what I wanted - the person returned my personal diary...after reading it ._.
Wow that's a great story! I think @darcturian's comment is right on the money.
Many years ago, it was a beautiful fall day and I had just quit my job . I was going for a walk in the woods with my dogs and I was feeling so free and euphoric that without premeditation, I asked The Universe "Let this be my life!" with all my heart, and yes I got my wish.
Obviously I can see where you were coming from casting that spell but generally I'm concerned that I just don't know what I should ask for. I feel like I don't know the big picture and can't know what's in my own best interest.
So it's always seemed much safer to me to leave things in the hands of the Universe at least for the most part. And I would say that strategy has worked out well for me.
I wonder when you're practicing Magick is there some entity that you think is the power behind the spell? Or do you feel the power you wield is your own?
Also I was wondering what your sources are for spells. Very interesting subject.
