Find out what country has more bikes than cars. It's not The Netherlands...

Denmark is the country with more bicycles than cars. In Copenhagen, for example, there are 13,000 more vehicles on two wheels than cars.
41% of the daily trips to the Danish capital are made by bicycle. Because they understand this, the authorities first snoop the bicycle tracks, then the streets.
The first bicycle track was also built in Denmark 124 years ago.

"Many middle-class citizens with children in Copenhagen do not even have a car," it said on the official website of the country.
Overall, Denmark has over 12,000 kilometers of bicycle tracks, and other countries have a lot to learn from Danish officials. The popularity of bicycles began to grow after 1892 when the first track in Copenhagen was inaugurated. Over the next 15 years, the infrastructure for this means of transport and the number of bicycles has seen spectacular growth: it has reached just 2,500 bikes to over 80,000, according to www.techinsider.io.

In the 1980s, Denmark experienced a "rebirth" of bicycles. People protested and urged the government to create bicycle paths to allow them to travel at low cost. The big cities of the world, including Tokyo or Stockholm, want to copy the Copenhagen model.
At present, Denmark has an extremely important place in the top energy-efficient states. "40" is the magic number in this country: 40 years since the energy crisis, 40% of the energy comes from renewable sources and only 40% of the Danes have a car. For comparison, in the United States, 95% of the population owns a car.
The system works for the most part because the bicycles have priority in front of the cars.
Overall, over 417 million dollars have been invested in Danish cycling projects and 63% of Parliament's members come to work on a bicycle.
Wanna be cool? Be like the Danes! Ride a bike!

China must have a few?

More than cars?

Who wants to count them? I would much rather delegate that job than take part. According to Katie Melua there are 9,000,000 in Beijing. maybe we should take her word for it she looks like I can trust her

This verse crossed my mind when I saw your comment first.

I could watch her on a bike all the way to Beijing :)
