Turning a mess into a studio
One of my Son's hobbies is lego and stop motion animation. His room is a mess but he is making the best out of it to create a lego movie studio. He is working on a plane crash into his fortress. After setting up the scene and the lights and the phone he realizd he had a test tomorrow and dropped everything.
It is true that schools 🏫 kill creativity. In Korea summer vacation doesn't start for a couple more weeks but it is already hot. This is the time for kids to be bored out of their minds so they can start some creative work. This is not the time for tests and homework even in Asia.
Anyway we got a couple second stop motion gif here. This weekend is supposed to be really hot so either we will have a giant water fight in front of Yonsei University or we will stay at home in the a.c.

I agree, I saw my son's creativity was stifled in grade school and middle school. High School was much better - his outlet was his gifted and talented AP English classes. It is called Phoenix English- (AP classes). In his "spare time" I'm pretty sure mastering video games and creating his own music on his own or with friends satisfied(?) his creativity!.
Daniel has no problem in the creativity field and no problem in English. He found his niche.
