I agree, I saw my son's creativity was stifled in grade school and middle school. High School was much better - his outlet was his gifted and talented AP English classes. It is called Phoenix English- (AP classes). In his "spare time" I'm pretty sure mastering video games and creating his own music on his own or with friends satisfied(?) his creativity!.
