Today's Letter is "N"
So my selection is 'N for Nutmeg'...
Nutmeg is one of two spice that grow on an evergreen tree myristica fragrans. This tree bears two kinds of spices, one nutmeg; the seed of the tree and second mace; derived from the dried skin of the seed.
While nutmeg is used only sparingly in dishes, it can still have surprising health benefits due to its vitamin and minerals punch. Nutmeg is a proven pain reliever, it also promotes digestion, improves brain health and detoxifies the body.
Fact
Myristica Fragrans is the only tree in the world from which two distinct spices are produced.

Nutmeg is a nice spice! The only danger is that if you put just a little bit too much on the dish, it will taste nothing but nutmeg :P So it's important to not get too excited with spicing with this.
