Cinnamomum kanehirae, also known as small-flowered camphor tree or stout camphor tree, is an endemic species of Cinnamomum plants and native in Taiwan. It is a large evergreen tree that can grow up to 30 meters tall. The leaves are alternate, coriaceous, entire, and margins often wavy. They are broadly ovate to elliptic, polished, and 10-15 cm long and 4-7.5 cm wide. The leaves are green and glabrous on both sides.

Thirty-two compounds have been isolated from the EtOAc extract of C. kanehirae, with lignans, flavonoids, and coumarins being the major components.

The leaves of Cinnamomum kanehirae are also used in traditional medicine for a variety of ailments, including fever, inflammation, and pain. They are also used as a tonic and to improve circulation.

However, it is important to note that Cinnamomum kanehirae is an endangered species and should not be harvested from the wild. If you are interested in using the leaves of this plant, it is best to purchase them from a reputable source.
