Oakleaf hydrangea, whose scientific name is hydrangea quercifolia, is a species of flowering plant in the hydrangea family.

Also known as oak-leaved hydrangea, it is a coarse deciduous shrub 1-3.5 m tall with an open canopy.

This plant is native to the southeastern United States, but has naturalized in other parts of the United States.

The leaves turn rich red, bronze, and purple shades in the fall and persist through the winter.

The leaves vaguely resemble larger versions of oak leaves with lobed leaflets.
