The majestic Dniester (part 2).

I continue to acquaint you with the beautiful and mighty river Dniester.

Besides the huge amount of water that is in the Dniester reservoir, Dniester impresses with its canyon.
The Dniester canyon is located on the border of 4 regions: Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Chernivtsi and Khmelnytsky.
Its length is about 250 km. The Dniester Canyon is one of the largest canyons not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe.
Dniester Canyon, considered one of the 7 Natural Wonders of Ukraine.
It was formed as a result of tectonic movements and processes of water and wind erosion.
In these photos I showed only a part of a large canyon.

Believe me, it looks different every kilometer of its length.

The Dniester has steep banks, like vertical walls, but there are gentle slopes to the water. Rocky and wooded shore amaze with its beauty!

Продолжаю вас знакомить с красивой и могучей рекой Днестр.
Кроме огромного количества воды, что находится в Днестровском водохранилище, Днестр поражает своим каньоном.
Днестровский каньон расположенный на границе 4 областей: Ивано-Франковской, Тернопольской, Черновицкой и Хмельницкой.
Его длина около 250 км. Днестровский каньон один из крупнейших каньонов не только Украины, но и Европы.
Каньон признан одним из 7 природных чудес Украины.
Он образовался в результате тектонических движений и процессов водной и ветровой эрозии.

На этих фотографиях я показал только часть большого каньона. Поверьте, он в каждом километре своей длины выглядит по-другому. Бываю обрывчатые берега, как вертикальные стены, а бывают пологие плавные спуски к воде. Скалистые и лесистые берега поражают своей красотой!
