Fresh Horizons

in #landscapephotography8 years ago (edited)

Time to seek out new horizons.

I love to travel and tomorrow is a big day... finally a chance to get off Vancouver Island and do some exploring. Fresh horizons... what is beyond that hill, what's around the next corner?

This photo is my entry for the #landscapephotography contest by @juliank and @photocontests. Thanks very much for taking a look.

Love these beautiful layers of blue deceasing in intensity as they merge into the pastel coloured horizon. Have an awesome trip Keith and I look forward to viewing more of your wonderful photography.

Thank you Trudee! The trip is going great and I have some terrific photos to show! No time to post now, I'm exhausted, but I got some cool stuff! :)

nice post

Thanks very much!

Great shot, Keith. Was that in the Okanagen:)

Thank you, no that one was from home in Victoria. Shot from the top of Mt. Douglas. We're on the road now, and stopped in Revelstoke for the night. Lots of photos to show soon, having fun!

Are you after the unicorn? 😀

Not specifically - but if he's out there, he better look out! :)

Interesting colors in that distant landscape. Is that color a natural occurrence or did you achieve it with some type of post production application? The result looks almost like a watercolor painting.

I don't think there was much post processing here. The photo was taken at twilight, zoomed in on a small portion of the horizon. The sky often takes on that pink colour in areas opposite of the setting sun, close to the horizon.
