Police attacked while arresting the accused, injured 3
Feni Sadar Upazila Dharmapur Union arrest warrant accused Md. While arresting Hasan (30), the policemen were attacked. ASI Arun Barua and Constable Sohel Chowdhury of Feni Model Police Station were injured in the attack.
The incident took place on Monday (March 18) at the member's house on West Padua Dulamia road of the union.
In this incident, ASI Arun Barua has filed a case in the police station naming 9 people as the main accused Hasan and 4-5 others as unknown accused.
According to the statement of the case and police sources, Dula Mia road of Dharmapur Union. Zafar Mia's son is accused in 11 cases. The police conducted an operation under the leadership of ASI Arun Barua on Monday night to arrest Hasan. Sensing the presence of Hasan, the police tried to arrest him when he hid in the ceiling of the room. At that time, 4-5 more drug dealers got together and tried to snatch Hasan from the police on Hasan's scream. When the police stopped them, the drug dealers attacked them.
Later, when the matter was reported to the higher authorities, additional force was sent and the policemen were rescued from there. Police ASI Arun Barua, Constable Sohail Chowdhury and CNG driver Main Uddin Sohag were injured in the attack. CNG autorickshaws used by the police were also vandalized.
Feni Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Mahfuzur Rahman said, a case has been filed in this incident. The operation to arrest the accused is continuing.
