Muhuri river under Fulgazi upazila of Toitumbur Feni since Monday evening. As the night deepens, the flow of water increases. Gradually, the earth moved away from the house and the tinshed house broke due to the pressure of the water. By that time, Nurul Karim took shelter elsewhere with his wife and two children. Locals said, 34-year-old Nurul Karim works in a private company in Mohakhali area of the capital. And his wife and two children Sidratul Muntaha (6) and Muhtasimul Haque Wasif (2) live at home in North Daulatpur area of Fulgazi Sadar Union. Nurul Karim returned to the village on the news of the flood.
It has been seen on the ground that the water is gradually increasing. The house is broken and lying in the water. A few nearby trees have been uprooted by the landslide.
Nurul Karim said that he worked for a salary of only 12 thousand taka. He built the house 7-8 years ago. The house was destroyed in the flood and now he and his family are helpless. Can't figure out what to do.
Upazila Parishad Chairman Harun Majumdar visited the scene after receiving the news. He gave financial assistance of Tk 10 thousand to the victim Nurul Karim from personal funds.
Fulgazi Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Tanya Bhuiyan said that the victims are being listed. Assistance will be provided by assessing the amount of damage.
