Bitten by a poisonous snake. A farmer named Ismail (45) died. The incident took place in Sahabikari village of Sonagazi upazila of Feni on Thursday night.

Son of the deceased. Shaheen said that the father was returning home from the local Karamtia market around 10:30 pm. On the way a snake bit his right leg. He tied the wound with a rope and came home. First, the house is swept with Ojha. But when his physical condition deteriorated, he was taken to Upazila Health Complex around 1 am. But without treatment there, he was sent to Feni General Hospital. The father has been died on the way to the hospital of sonagaji.

The doctor in charge of the emergency department of the hospital. Sadekul Karim said, after bringing the patient to the hospital, it was found that his condition is critical. So he was asked to be taken to Feni General Hospital for better treatment.

Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Uppal Dash said that the Upazila Health Complex has enough vaccines to treat snake bite patients. However, the matter will be investigated as to why the vaccine was not administered after the snakebite patient was brought to the health complex.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sonagazi Model Police Station Sudeep Roy Palash said that the body of the person who died due to the bite of a poisonous snake has been kept at Feni General Hospital morgue for post-mortem.

The deceased Samchul Haque is the son of deceased Badiuzzaman of that area. He was a teacher in the English Department of Rajarhat Degree College in neighboring Kurigram district.
