In a meeting organized at the Sandwip Press Club office on the evening of February 16, he said that all the press clubs of Bangladesh are being initiated to connect with the National Press Club. After connecting the district press clubs in the first phase, the upazila press clubs will also be connected.
In this regard, he also said, doing journalism in Mofswal is a challenging matter. While working in Mofaswal, the news workers are faced with various obstacles, many are at risk while reporting the news by dealing with various influences. Therefore, to strengthen independent journalism, it is absolutely necessary for the National Press Club to stand by them. We are trying to establish this connection quickly.
The exchange meeting was presided over by the former president of Sandwip Press Club, Principal Belayet Hossain Talukder.
Sandwip Press Club President Mohammad Rahim Ulya, Former General Secretary Ilyas Kamal Babu, Vice President Saiful Islam Insaf, Sufian Manik, Mozammel Hossain, Acting General Secretary Ismail Hossain Moni, Organizing Secretary Badal Roy Swadhin, Co-Organizer were present in the meeting among others. Journalist Ayub Bhuiyan also said that a basic training on journalism will be arranged by PIB before the upcoming Ramadan.
