Windows 참가자 프로그램 앞으로 건너뛰기(skip ahead) 활성화방법
평소에 윈도우 참가자 프로그램을 활성화해서 최신 기능들을 빨리 받아보는 편이다. 그런데 언젠가부터 아래와 같이 skip ahead 옵션이 막혀서 어쩔 수 없이 next windows release에 fast ring을 사용했었다.
그러던 중, 오늘 피드백 허브를 들어가니 빌드 앞자리가 다른 18000번대 업데이트가 있는게 아닌가? (아래 사진 참고)
그래서 인터넷을 뒤져 보니 역시 해결책이 있었다.

위 방법대로 regedit을 열고
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\UI\Selection 폴더에서
UIContentType을 Active에서 Skip으로,
UIRing을 WIF 그대로,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\Applicability 폴더에서
ContentType을 Active에서 Skip으로,
Ring을 Skip으로 바꾼 뒤에
업데이트 확인을 돌려보니 업데이트가 나온다.
참가자 프로그램 탭에 들어가면 여전히 막혀있다고 나오지만 업데이트에서는 skip ahead로 적용되는 듯하다. 이제 다시 최신 중 최신을 받아볼 수 있게 된 것..
