1번은 틀리지 않았지만 두 가지 방법 추천합니다.
His character gradually went from devious to foolish.
또는
His character, devious at first, gradually turned out to be foolish.
2번 이건 그냥 관용적인거니까 외워야 해요.
The longer the nose, the more of a fool.
(끝에는 the more foolish로 가도 되지만 엄밀히는 멍청한 주체가 있어야 하니까...)
