What a beautiful temple! The details are stunning! I can't imagine the amount of time and work that goes into building such a temple! I found it interesting that you can purchase a tile and have your message engraved on it.

I do like the details, makes them stand out. The basic shapes and designs don't change nearly as much.

Congratulations @abitcoinskeptic! Your post brought a smile to the TravelFeed team so we have sent you a smiley. Keep up the good job. 🙂

Nice post, reminds me of slowwalker, only less farmy

Thanks! I decided to do this in one post instead of 10. Slowwalker spent a lot of time at temples and knew his stuff. I think his mother liked to visit temples with him. Decent posts actually, but yeah often way over rewarded and repetitive. But, the comments from weirdos that always got me. 'Best belfry ever sir. I can imagine you are healed there. Would love to visit amazing and best place in world.'

Hey @abitcoinskeptic, here is a little bit of BEER from @axeman for you. Enjoy it!

I enjoy living vicariously through those who travel and appreciate when a writer can give interesting descriptions and share details and personal thoughts about locations. I may never travel to this temple, but it is familiar to me now because of your great post! Thank you 🌱

I'm glad you liked it. I do try to organize my photos in a way that you can walk through the place, but usually make the first one different.

I like that! Smart way to help the reader experience the space 🌱

Interesting read and great pics. I've also found it difficult to accurately describe Korean cultural heritage because of the conflicting information. It gets really complicated when things are translated from ancient Chinese, to Korean, to English. I agree about the weather being weird. I hate Korean winters, but it's a little worrying how mild it's been.

The information is definitely conflicting. East Asian history, in general, is difficult to study because every time a regime changes, they completely rewrite it. Also, 0000 instead of 000 and measuring units constantly changing make even numbers difficult to keep track of.

Regime change in East Asian dynasties does lead to history being rewritten. For emperors, there is a need to be mythologized.

For example, Zhu Di of the Ming Dynasty, in order to conceal the illegitimacy of his seizure of the throne, ordered the historian to record the ming dynasty history as he wished.
