A Short Story of 5 Lost Kittens and Rescue !

So this event happened back in 2015, I had just moved from California to Atlanta for work. We moved to a new apartment and had just started unpacking.

So that day after noon I hear this little cute meo's sound from outside. So I went out to patio , look down and I see these 3 little ones.

I looked around did not see a momma/pappa cats.

They looked completely lost

I went down to check them out and took these photos, still no signs of the big cats.I felt like there where looking for help , lost.

I was obviously stranger to them , and you can see the big cat instincts in them.

Initially they where still hiding in the bushes and not coming out. But after some time they realized I was harmless and they felt more comfortable coming out.

I felt really sad that they were lost and I did not knew what to do. Couple of hours passed and still no signs of the mamma cat. And the weather forecast for the day had rain coming. So I gave a few calls to couple of animal shelters , most of them closed by 5pm. Luckily one place picked up and they said they are closing now and I would have to get the kittens there next day morning.

So I decided to take them in for the night. There where 5 of them and they all looked hungry. I went to a near by pet store , bought some cat food and a bottle to feed them milk.

Next day morning I went to the Animal Shelter and handed them over , I had to sign a form for reporting the incident.
I still wonder how these kittens got lost. They will be all grown up by now and I hope they found some good home and are happy !

Do share in the comments if you had any similar experience. What would you have done. I love animal's , but I was not in a state to pet them.
