What is Kill The Pad Challenge?
Kill The Pad challenge is a weekly topical text based rap competition for SBD. Why am I starting a text based rap initiative? We have many creative writers in the hip hop community. One doesn't have to get onto the mic to show their prowess with lyricism. This will benefit the less experienced and the more experienced alike. Topicals are always a good exercise. It's all about elevating together, learning from each other, and growing as an artist.

This guy again?!?! YUPPPP!! Most definitely. He really has a way with rhymes and has a truly solid grasp of schemes. You can literally just read his rhymes and the flow jumps off the paper into your mind, that's how dense his schemes are at times... You can't help but to rap along. That's solid!!!!! Movin on uppppp!! Simgirl has been participating in this contest from the beginning and she keeps getting better and better every week. This week was no exception. WOW she killed it. I was literally rapping along to the lyrics, so dope. The content was cool and different from others in the competition, because it was more based on the type of issues that can arise through interactions with other people. Very unique approach and it worked really well!! Go check it out!

This was a great entry... The emotions just oozed off the screen. The contest was based around the author's personal experience with mental illness through caring for someone with it. I know how that can be as well, so this really touched home a bit for me. Really dope piece that you should definitely go check out!!
