Watkin's Glen Waterfall
Watkin's Glen, New York
I'm having a lot of fun with these Steemit contests! :D
Here is my bridge for the KillerPix' Photography Contest. Taken in the autumn of 2015, I wanted to provide the contest with a different perspective on the idea of bridges. With the stonework and gentle waterfalls all around, this one could be the setting of any good fairy tale.
P.S. more Canadian photos to follow later today!

Hey, that was cool, thanks for doing that! :D

Sick - this is like out of a Indiana Jones movie or sth like that :D
Yeah! It's pretty surreal, especially when it's raining! Thanks!

I can not find words to say. this myth! absolutely very successful. Everything is in my kivamda and very beautiful. composition and exposure is great! I congratulate you. and I follow. it looks like you deserve to win the contest! :) I also shared one photo, but not in the level you can compare with your photo :)
Thank you for commenting, @artizm!! :D
Wow this is such a cool spot ; add it to the road trip list ;-)
Yep, another drop in the ocean!
Wow. Just.. stunning. It looks like something straight out of Rivendell (Lord of the Rings?). :)
Yes! I had the same thought. :)
My favorite movie ever! (I am now finally reading the book too, awesome piece of work.) If I could choose the most beautiful place in the universe, it would be Rivendell. Come to think of it, is there a way I could purchase this photo for print? I would really like it somewhere in my house! It's out-of-this-world beautiful.
My favourite movies too, but long before that they were (and still are) my favourite books, and J.R.R. Tolkien my favourite author! I envy you reading them for the first time. I think Rivendell is one of the most beautiful places in Middle-Earth. In it still dwell memories of lost Gondolin and of Valinor across the Sea. :)
I would love to discuss prints with you! Since there's no messaging service here, would you mind emailing me, [email protected] and we can talk about the size and type of print that you would like?
Okay, gave the book a two-days break, time to pick it up again! I'll message you, thanks for the email. I also found your website online and I hope you do have a published book, because you'll find many people interested, myself included. For the record, I don't buy photography and don't own any photography book. Your talent really stands out.
Thank you again, I appreciate your interest and have responded!
No pressure regarding LotR, the book, like all books, is not for everyone, but it definitely transformed my life when I was young.
I do not have a published book. That will be in the future, but this Canada Trip may be a good starting place to create one... :)
Was about to comment the same thing! Composition is well balanced, although I feel the vignette calls a bit too much attention to itself - I find myself looking more often to the dark side edges than to the rest of the image. I like it's mood, however. It does trigger the imagination :)
Thanks! And that's fair - my monitor has changed since I edited this so I notice how the darks are getting clipped. I love vignettes but it's easy to push it too far and not know it. :\
This is awesome! I love the different levels of waterfalls.
Thank you! I like your work, by the way, and am going to give you a follow. :)
Wow, it looks like a paint
Hehe :)
Excellent image :)
Thank you! :)
