but without further adieu,
the winner for week 10 is...

@yusaymon - with his hats-off performance of The Rolling Stones - "Sympathy For The Devil". Very good vocals and the 'maracas' just set it off. Great job YU! We hope to see you and everyone else again this week!

Week 11 Begins

**LOVE IT**! This week we are pulling a few from the suggestion box that we put out every Saturday, and some from our personal selection. Simply pick the one you like best and record yourself singing along with it. Then, drop your video and/or link to your post with the video of you down there in the comments section. Easy, right? Here's 'the catch'.

RULES

  1. The 1st tag for your submission post must be #karaokecontest.
  2. This submission thread must be upvoted (if you would like more competition, please resteem it).
  3. Your video of yourself singing must be in comments of this post (so you can get the popularity vote), or at least a link to your Steemit post entry.
  4. You must choose one of our selected songs to sing along to.

JUDGING CATEGORIES

  1. Popular vote: This will carry 40% of the overall score. Whoever has the most upvotes (not reward amount for the post) in the comments below, will win the popular vote. You may only vote for yourself ONCE, purchased bot votes for yourself will not count.
  2. Timing: 20% weight - how close you are to the timing of the original lyrics.
  3. Pitch: 20% weight - how close you are to staying on key to the original lyrics.
  4. Likeness & Performance: 20% weight - how much you actually sound like and embody the singer of the original lyrics.

PRIZES

We have restructured the prize pool and a new prize will now be initiated. This is now a "Winner Takes All" contest. The winner will get ***1000*** delegated SP for a week from #thealliance's first witness, @zeartul. Huge applause for him please!

Our 'Care Bear', @bearone has graciously decided to continue to lend us her eyes and ears and be one of our judges. The Corporal, @topkpop has agreed to continue her passion for musical talents and join us on the judging panel. We also have producer and fellow ally @christheaudioguy giving up some of his time to help in the judging. #thealliance is thankful for all of you. And finally, we have 'The Docta', @michaeldavid doing the magical math involved with tallying all the final scores. This is fun everyone, we're having a blast!

          Love seeing these submissions! Those who haven't joined yet, don't sit on the sidelines, just put up a video. It's all fun and who knows, you could win. I can't win cause I am a judge but I thought hey why not at least enjoy the fun and sing along. So here is my song for the week. Again, just for fun of course :)
