Pro-Assange Protests in Ecuador Call Moreno a 'Traitor', Cops Attack, Ex-UK Ambassador Says Assange's Judge a 'Disgrace', and Assange Wins Journalism Award
There was a lively protest in the city of Quito, Ecuador today, with a smaller one in front of the Ecuadorian embassy in London. Hundreds took to the streets in Ecuador to give their support for Julian Assange who was betrayed by the President of Ecuador, Lenin Moreno.
Reportedly numbering around a thousand protesters, they blasted Moreno as a traitor who betrayed Assange and the asylum granted to him. Assange was arrested last week as Ecuador sought to appease the US demand to have Assange in custody. I'm sure the $4.2 billion loan helped to sway the decision to backstab Assange.

The authoritarian gangsters more commonly known as "police" showed up to beat back the protest and protesters alike.
Similarly, there was a protest in the UK in front of the Ecuadorian embassy, with police standing around. No gangster thug behavior was exhibited in that case, as the protesters stuck to the other side of the street and didn't block any traffic.

It's clear that many people in Ecaudaor cared about the good Assange did, and respected his asylum status, and were proud to have him as a citizen of their nation. Too bad the authorities are too corrupt to care about truth, preferring to defend the tyranny of the U.S. and their own governments.
The jailing of two hero like Assange and Manning who released troubling information about the world we live, is a travesty. The mainstream media tries to paint them as law breakers, but the media doesn't know true law, moral law. Speaking truth to falsity and immorality is a public service that should be commended and defended, not condemned. The cases of Manning and Assange demonstrate the corrupted mindset that we live in as we are ruled over by governments around the world.
Craig Murray, British Ambassador to Uzbekistan from August 2002 to October 2004, spoke against the deluded tyranny being imposed on Assange. Assange faced a kangaroo court, where in 15 minutes, he was declared guilty by the disgraceful District Judge Michael Snow. According to Murray, the prejudice levied at Assange and injustice carried out "makes the dictators’ courts I had witnessed, in Ibrahim Babangida’s Nigeria or Isam Karimov’s Uzbekistan, look fair and reasonable, in comparison to the gross charade of justice conducted by Michael Snow."
It was a sham trail, just as the one that's planned for Assange in the U.S.. Charges were changed throughout the trial, which is the only sentence uttered by Assange. The only other thing he said was "not guilty". Yet, the judge called Assange "narcissistic", demonstrated his deluded bias and prejudice to even be able to treat the case fairly.
Murray notes, as part of the WikiLeaks media and legal team, who are energized by the recent events, as now the sham allegation of rape of bail jumping are showing to be what we've known were mere smokescreens to get revenge on Asasnge for the Manning leaks.
this mockery of justice is trying to give the state control over what can be published on the internet. Supporting the case against Assange, which many half-baked politicians and media organizations are, is to support the punishment of those who expose U.S. government wrongdoings.
It also expands the authoritarian reach of a governments' jurisdiction in the real world. Assange was not in the U.S., yet the claim is that his actions fall under the purview of U.S. law. The freedom of the press and free speech is being threated, while the media mostly doesn't care.
Assange is more of a real journalist than the talking heads on TV who spew lies. Just yesterday, Assange won the 2019 GUE/NGL Award for Journalists, Whistleblowers & Defenders of the Right to Information, along with two others who stand against the lies to speak truth for others to receive.

This news is a litmus test for journalists. Actual journalists, people like you and I, who report true facts and oppose censorship, propaganda, and lies, have some concern for the ramifications and repercussions of the lawfare being prosecuted against Assange. Shills, propagadists, and censors instead openly celebrate the death of true journalism they seek to effect, because it will eliminate their competition. A world in which no one knows any information, has any opinions, or can grasp any reason that shills don't provide is the dream of that ilk - tyrants who would corral the minds of their subjects psychologically, and their paid agents.
True journalists not only decry this crime against humanity, and it's particular sacrificial offering Julian Assange, because it's true and criminal, they do so to defend themselves, their people, and society from becoming mentally trapped behind an iron curtain of propaganda, unable to know the truth, and possibly captured and enslaved themselves, just like Julian, for even daring to seek facts.
We can easily identify those liars and regurgitators of propaganda by this means, and discount them completely. The psychological warfare is such an all out push presently that but few dissemblers are allowed the pretense of not condemning JA and the facts he enabled us to know. This will make it easier to limit our sources to those that are actual journalists, and avoid wasting our time and attention on worthless psyops that will certainly come again from those sources, but sullied sycophants and singers of siren's songs of deceit.
Through similar mechanisms I have long ago abandoned most commercial purveyors of propaganda, noting their pushing of lies in various psyops, such as the Iraq war. This event should make it easy for an entire generation to do that for the entire industry. That is the consequence of such an all out effort: all the participants are revealed in one easy batch.
That lends this issue another warning sign. This abandonment of pretense of honesty and actual reportage indicates that such pretense is no longer considered valuable enough to continue. Given the rampant censorship, panoptic surveillance, and public acknowledgement of psyops and propaganda committed against our free people, it seems (((they))) don't even feel the need to hide that they are lying to us with malice aforethought. I do not like the implications of that at all.

Hehe, lawfare, that's good term! Indeed, we nee to see ourselves in others to create a better world for all. Good point on the litmus test of who can be trusted to have brain and think properly. If they fail to assess the situation correctly, then they out themselves and compromised. The brazen audacity of the manipulators is something to behold, as the populace mostly doesn't seem to care.
