Am I in the Netherlands now?

You would be partially correct if you thought that! But I actually visited Huis Ten Bosch located in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan!!

This place is absolutely stunning, there is just so much to do!
Before I begin to show you how absolutely amazing this place is, I have to tell you that I have taken a ton of photos here, and I will have to split up my posts into a few parts to finish guiding you through my entire journey in this Theme Park. I got here early in the afternoon and stayed all the way till night time, and I was still not able to cover the entire park. It is really toooooo HUGE.

So, let's go!!

I started my journey from JR Hakata, and my took my favourite mode of transportation!

Thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable ride along with my Sukiya Gyudon Ekiben.

The ride was over 2 hours and we got off at Huis Ten Bosch Station!

It was a rather sunny day that day, but a beautiful, clear day to be visiting.

You might be thinking, how do you pronounce Huis Ten Bosch?
You would never have guessed that it is pronounced as "ハウステンボス, Hausu Ten Bosu", neither did I, until I heard it on the train.

This theme park is actually remodeled after a Dutch town, and the name was from one of the residences of the Royal Dutch Family. This is also why the architecture looks western, and you might have thought I was not in Japan.

I was already in awe after stepping out of the train, the place looked fantastic from outside, and I couldn't contain my excitement.

Even just on the way to the Ticket booth and entrances, there's already so much to see and so much to do. I would say that even if you did not pay to visit the theme park, there is enough for you to look at on the outside.

I took a glance of the souvenir shop areas and other parts of the entrance just before we entered

They sold a souvenir that had a funny name so I had to take a photo of it.

Upon entering the park. This is what I saw.

There were a few windmills around the patch of tulip flowers. Although the extent of it isn't as large as the Original place in Holland, this theme park made me feel for a moment, that I wasn't actually in Japan.

This is really just the entrance of the Theme Park, and I had to filter through almost 100 photos just to pick these 15 to show. I have to reiterate again that the entire Huis Ten Bosch is huge, and by huge I mean Gigantic, and by Gigantic I mean MASSIVE.

It's not just the size of this place that I am impressed by, but also the thought and deliberateness in decorating the entire park up to look so beautiful. There are just so many things to do for almost everyone, individuals, couples, families, and I will guide you through them in the next few posts on Huis Ten Bosch. Towards the end of the day, there were still portions of the park I did not manage to cover, and I had to rush to see some places. Otherwise I would miss my train back to Hakata.

If you are visiting Kyushu, I would really recommend visiting Huis Ten Bosch. In order not to rush for time like me, you might even want to consider staying in Huis Ten Bosch and take 2 days to slowly cover everything in this Park!

Stay tuned for the next parts of my visit to Huis Ten Bosch!
