Tributo a Kubrick/Tribute to Kubrick - Digital Art (ITA-ENG)

Il disegno di oggi è un omaggio ad uno dei più grandi registi di tutti i tempi: Stanley Kubrick. Proprio oggi avrebbe compiuto 90 anni, nacque il 26 luglio 1928 a New York. Diede vita a pellicole rimaste nella storia del cinema, per citarne alcune voglio ricordare 2001: Odissea nello spazio, Arancia Meccanica, Full Metal Jacket, Shining, Eyes Wide Shut.
Tra le curiosità sulla vita di Kubrick, c'è la voce (e secondo me non è solo una voce) che fu proprio lui a girare il video del primo sbarco sulla luna nel 1969, nel deserto del Nevada, video commissionato dal Governo USA sia per giustificare i miliardi di dollari spesi (in armamenti), sia per mostrare agli occhi del mondo di aver battuto la Russia sul primo allunaggio. Ma questa è una storia di cui magari parlerò in un altro post.
Per realizzare il disegno ho adottato diverse tecniche. Per cominciare ho realizzato in 3d il viso del personaggio, Alexander "Alex" DeLarge, il protagonista di Arancia Meccanica. Ho posizionato il viso con un inquadratura dal basso verso l'alto, ho cercato di riprodurre il leggero sorriso, ho colorato gli occhi di azzurro e gli ho messo i capelli. Ho renderizzato e aperto poi il file con Photoshop. Per iniziare ho disegnato le ciglia lunghe sul suo occhio destro, poi ho cercato in rete un cappello come il suo, la bombetta e con una maschera l'ho sistemato sulla sua testa. Lo stesso ho fatto per la camicia che è proprio quella usata nel film. Finito l'assemblaggio ho lavorato sulle luci e sulle ombre e sulla tonalità dei colori. ho aggiunto una leggera sfocatura, un po' di grana fotografica e una vignettatura scura.
Questo è il mio omaggio a Stanley Kubrick.

Today's design is a tribute to one of the greatest directors of all time: Stanley Kubrick. Just today he would have turned 90, born on July 26, 1928 in New York. He gave life to films left in the history of cinema, to name a few, I want to remember 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket, Shining, Eyes Wide Shut.
Among the curiosities about Kubrick's life, there is the voice (and in my opinion it is not just a voice) that it was he who shot the video of the first moon landing in 1969, in the Nevada desert, video commissioned by the US Government to justify the billions of dollars spent (in armaments), both to show the eyes of the world to have beaten Russia on the first moon landing. But this is a story that maybe I'll talk about in another post.
To realize the design I have adopted different techniques. For a start I made the character's face in 3D, Alexander "Alex" DeLarge, the main character in A Clockwork Orange. I placed the face with a frame from the bottom up, I tried to reproduce the slight smile, I colored eyes blue and I put hair. Then I rendered and opened the file with Photoshop. To start I drew long eyelashes on his right eye, then I searched in the net for a hat like his, the bowler and with a mask I placed it on his head. The same I did for the shirt that is just the one used in the film. After the compositing I worked on the lights and shadows and color tones. I added a slight blur, a little noise and a dark vignetting.
This is my tribute to Stanley Kubrick.
