Reminder on the virtue of observing 6 days As-Sawm (fasting) in month of Shawwal
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
We give thanks to Allah who made us witnessed Ramadan. May He accept our act of worship, prayers and good deed during Ramadan and beyond, and spare our lives to witness more.
Ramadan has come and gone, for some fasting is limited to the month of Ramadan, and once Ramadan ends, it is end of fasting until next Ramadan.
Abu Ayyub (RA) reported:****The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "He who observe As-Sawm (fast) in the month of Ramadan and also observe As-Sawm for 6 days in the month of Shawwal, it is as if he has observed As-Sawm for the whole year". (Muslim)
My brother and sisters, let's use this opportunity to seek extra blessing by observing 6 days fasting in Shawwal. May Allah give us the strength to observe to do this. May Allah guide us to abide by His deen, and to adhere to the sunnah of His messenger, and be among whom He blessed in both lives.
