As the "Beast from the East" bore down on Europe, events were cancelled last week but there was still plenty of local news in the Blockchain space.

This series of weekly newsletters cover what is happening on the Dublin & Irish Blockchain scene.

Are you interested in where there are Blockchain labs in Ireland? Which large multinationals are choosing Ireland as an innovtion hub?

Rakuten, the Japanese e-commerce giant, bought Belfast based Bitnet back in 2016. The name came up a few times this week for me and I found this article from earlier this year.

I am always interested to hear about new home grown talent making their way on the world stage.

Northern Ireland's Hagan Homes has announced it will accept Bitcoin as a payment method according to the Belfast Telegraph.

Yes , Ireland is quite on the forefront with crypto currency. The pace at which blockchains and crypto currency is more accepted on a world scale is fascinating. This is just a strong hint at the decay of the old system. New solutions are necessary and they are coming fast!

So glad to hear that for my 2nd home! I lived in Cork for almost a year, and found out how progressive they are, not only in ctypto. They have the fastest growing economy in Europe, and in 5 years they are planning to completely rely on renewable energy.
Pretty impressive!
