How Smart Do You Need To Be?

I have been investing in the stock market for many years now and have recently started to invest in cryptocurrency. I am constantly trying to learn new techniques using technical and fundamental analysis. I read blogs and watch videos, learn by trial and error and mistakes.

I started realizing that most of my best investments are usually not my ideas and come from other people. I started to understand that you don't have to reinvent the wheel and come up with brand new ideas. It's possible to implement other peoples ideas and be successful.

There are tons of people out there shilling financial advise and most of them are garbage. This is where you can make the difference in what you choose to learn. You don't have to be as smart as the person that came up with the idea. You just have to recognize its a good idea.

If someone presents an interesting idea to you don't just take it for granted. You need to understand the idea and the premise behind it. So many people hear of some new trading strategy and just start trying it without understanding it and get burned. If something is too complicated either try and understand it and look more into it or just move on. There are a million strategies out there.

The point is that there is a lot of smart people with great ideas out there. It's your responsibility to understand those ideas and make a judgment if its a good or bad idea. The more responsibility you take the better off you will be in the end.
