I'll elaborate for wang. As an example, if you post something that could be considered not safe for work (i.e. erotic, etc...), make sure to include the #NSFW tag. Otherwise, people will probably downvote you. Also if you are just doing a test post to see how things work, use the #test tag. When steemit.com recognizes these tags it will not display them along with the majority of other posts.
