Wow, Im a bit excited.. well actually a lot
This is officially my first post !!!! hahah still wondering why did I just started.
A friend of mine @victordoan introduced me to Steemit recently saying many positive things . I have always been a Nerdy gal !! , I was always curious about new technologies, that’s why i took a deep look at Steemit and its community. I think it is a wonderful platform to share, grow and looking forward to contribute to this community. I am super thrilled to be here. ^^.
A little bit About myself?
You can call me Sueri !
I was Born and raised in Phuket Thailand
My parents had a romantic story on the beach. The “East meets West” kind of one
(which seriously should be a movie) and I came along shorty after that.
I was an ultimate beach girl when I was younger until I moved to Bangkok where I currently live now.
I went to University here and did some commercial modeling jobs part-time as I was studying with an amazing agency here in town.
The Years of Modeling
I was an ugly duck when I was younger but always dreamt of becoming a model somehow…. like many of us. Luckily, I grew from a nerd to a potential commercial model. I was rejected for a long time though, after years of castings a finally start getting jobs and becoming better at it. So I had a couple of years with decent income and traveling to multiple countries in Asia.
As we know if you don’t go big in this industry after a couple of years, its hard to stay forever because there’s always new faces and yes that happened to me too. After some time in the glam life of a model, it started cruising and slowly went down bit by bit. It was a great time, I met and made a lot of new friends internationally and it broaden my perspective as a person which I forever am grateful. By this Time I graduated from university and had the chances to sign to a movie production company that made TV series for a famous channel here in Thailand. I took 2 years taking acting classes and was in some small roles. It was an incredible experience and I loved acting.
Self-Renovating
At a certain age, some parents want their kids to be independent and start a career including mine. Small acting roles weren’t paying the bills and by this time I was close to being 24 years old. Many of you may agree that it’s time to move on. So I did with full understanding of my circumstances and open to keep learning and trying to make something out of myself !!!....
You might think why am I telling you these things?...... Well, I’m here to share with you and be completely myself and being honest about my life. So you know a little more about myself.
Now I’m in a new chapter of my life trying new things and being extremely happy and grateful of everything… I have a job and still doing model/acting part-time which is awesome. I love changing things up from time to time and I feel that people in our generations were meant to explore and live life to the fullest. Plus I started posting here which I am super excited to share my experiences further with you all..
I’ll be posting about my experiences, activities and random things I love and passionate including Food,Traveling,Modeling,Acting.. and other stuff I do when I don’t do all those other stuff. Hahahahaha

Edit: btw, just re-read again and great to see someone enjoying the acting part as well - that's usually not the most natural by-product when it comes to modelling.
Thank you so much for your warmest Welcome and resteeming this post :) You generated numerous of followers for me.... .. Yes, I took acting class for 2 years. I love the inner growth and increase of self acknowledgment through the process, But i hate waiting around on set for hours TT.

It seems like you've been doing some reading / research prior to getting started on this platform and thanks for coming on board. To be honest, I think you'd be great for promoting the platform and all. How can I reach you by the way? It's a shame this platform doesn't have a chat function yet lol..
Oh Thats Awesome actually during my modeling days, Most of my jobs were for Malaysia !. I have been there 3-4 times. I would be happy to if i could do any promote for this platform. My e-mail is [email protected]

What did you study at university?
I Did Major: Management, Minor: Entrepreneurship
But basically a lot of nothing..lol.. Was focusing on making money than getting an education. One thing i regretted. Got through with just average grades.
In my experience, entrepreneurship is something you do rather than something you study anyway.

Maybe just write your main articles in Steemit and then put links of these articles in other social media platforms? That could make people curious to check out what Steemit is ... :)

As someone who is fairly new myself, I had many questions about what Steem is and how to use the site. There are many tutorials explaining the basics of Steemit (the site) and Steem (the currency), however after a week of studying these tutorials, I was still left with some questions, so I began to experiment and ask others for answers. I figured that if I couldn’t readily find answers to my questions, then others just joining the community must surely be struggling with similar questions as mine. This prompted me to write and post what I had learned onto my blog page in an effort to save others the many hours I expended on research. Another thing you should know is that writing articles is not the only way to earn Steem. You can upvote articles written by others and earn a portion of what they make on their article. Unless a post is resteemed (similar to FaceBook’s ‘share’ button), the original post only earns an income until it is paid out, 7 days after it has been posted. By resteeming an article, that post’s payout is extended and allowed extra time to earn some upvotes from the viewers of the resteemed post. A resteemed post is copied to the blog page of the person doing the (share) resteeming.
What this all means is that for you to earn a portion of the post you are upvoting, you need to make your upvote before the pay-out has been made. Look for the bent arrow icon immediately to the left of the REPLY button at the bottom of every post. If that resteem button is NOT visible, it means the posting is no longer active and you will not get any income from that post (it will only show that you appreciated the poster’s work, exactly like the ‘LIKE’ button on facebook).
It doesn’t cost you any Steem to upvote someone’s work and in fact it WILL earn you some. This is why many people will gather a list of people they follow and upvote their work on a daily basis. These people will go to their FEED tab (it drops down in a menu when you click your personal icon found at the top right of the screen when you are logged in) and upvote everything their followers post. In case you don’t already know, the FEED tab displays everything that the people you are FOLLOWING have posted. New posts that you have not yet read are highlighted in bold.
