Vices—a guide for guilty people

So frightful, so enticing.

So shameful.

We try our hardest not to give in to them, and if—when—we do, we try even harder to make sure no one ever knows about it, because how could we let anyone know we've done something so wrong, so disgusting?

God forbid your vices hurt someone else.

You can see it in their eyes, hear it in their voice—the disbelief, the betrayal, the anger, the hurt.

Your heart breaks, and you realize in that moment exactly what you've done. "I never wanted to hurt anyone," you think, but never say out loud because even you know how pathetic it would sound.

The vice may be what hurts them, but the aftermath is what destroys you.

The shame, the guilt, the self-hatred—it's all built up; everything you should have felt then but d
