Introducing myself...HELLO Steemit
Hi everyone. My name is Patrick Peace. I felt it nice and kind to officially introduce myself on this platform and I hope I will have a great and pleasant way to go with you on this great community. I am adventurous, friendly and funny sometimes. I like hanging around with friends and enjoy chatting too. My favourite sport is soccer, hobby is swimming and my favourite website is going to be STEEMIT. I'm glad to meet you all and I hope I shall learn many things from you and you shall also help me get settled here. Thank you all for the support you shall give me

@patrickpeace I really like it here- people here come from all walks of life but there's just so much more purpose behind everyone's posts, when you compare it to the likes of Facebook etc. I enjoy seeing other people express what they enjoy :)

So, I've been following cryptos for years now, and have heard about steemit for several months; two days ago I decided to check out the site, I don't remember why. I probably followed a link to a story here? Anyway, the method I've been using so far is one that I read an article here about -- which is simply, load the "New" page, then load the new articles, and upvote and follow the person, then comment "Upvoted and followed!" With something topical, as well, to indicate that you had read (or watched) their content.
I'm also writing articles myself, and making judicious use of the "##" markdown at the beginning of a line which makes it into a heading ("h2"). I also just started searching for images and copying them into the post (see my "Gardening with eggshells!" post).
Another major aspect is "be positive" which I really like here. I made one negative comment yesterday, on a post that was obviously recycled since it discussed the price of BTC being $600 or so. While I somewhat regret that comment, I felt it would be good for others to know.

I offer you the tip of using the search tool often when seeking someone or something on Steemit...at least till you find your feet here. This is my fourth day...so much good natured help available by the members.
