whats i mean here is ussually we buy a novel on bookstore
or we buy kinndle/ebook on online store but on steemit if we have a really good novel our reader can pay its via their upvote , example case thats i see is in here

its one page comical post an earn significant revernue ($1700+), when this comic get a lot of page the creator can make its as a book. He can earn and promote his comic in steemit, and maybe selling its in the future
thats what make Steem different then other crypto currency, even your vote have a value
