Introducing Fndmntl to Steemit community

Hello Steemians!

We wanted to introduce the Fndmntl's (fndmntlmedia.com) work to the Steemit community. We joined the Steemit community recently because we love its energy and creativity. Of course, we are also big fans of anything crypto-related. We believe that Fndmntl can bring a new fresh voice to the Steemit community. We look forward to sharing our work with you.

Our mission

Providing a neutral, comparative and empathetic lens to better understand the way story-telling and technology sustain political violence.

Vision

Fndmntl's mission is guided by the following vision:

• Political violence consists of a diverse set of tactics, non-lethal and lethal, used by individuals or groups for political ends.

• What differentiates political violence from criminal or random acts of violence is the way story-telling is used to frame it and give it meaning.

• Rapid technological changes are profoundly changing the way individuals and groups can sustain political violence through story-telling.

Analysis

Fndmntl's analysis is:

• Neutral

  The use of media content affiliated with political causes or organisations does not in any way indicate Fndmntl's support for them.

• Comparative

The comparison of individuals and groups who use political violence is necessary to understand their decision making. However, making a comparison does not suggest equivalence.

• Empathetic

Even though Fndmntl does not support the use of political violence by any individuals or groups, we can only understand political violence if we acknowledge the humanity of those who wish to use it.

One last thing...

Some of Fndmntl's analysis focuses on media produced by individuals or groups who call for or carry out acts of lethal violence against particular demographics or are affiliated with UN-sanctioned groups. Unfortunately, this means that we cannot post all our content on Steemit. If you are interested in our content and want to access more of it then you will need to register on our website.
