Hey Steemians!

About Myself

My name is Denesh Kumar and I’m a Canadian student heading to university in the fall! In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer and video games, particularly League of Legends and Civilization V. I’m very passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship, particularly in the healthcare industry.

What I Hope To Gain

Another topic I’ve become very interested lately has been blockchain. The applications of the technology seem limitless. As such, I’m looking to use this as a platform to inspire myself and others to learn more about cryptocurrencies. I'll be giving easy to digest breakdowns of as many popular coins as possible in the hopes of helping myself and newcomers become more versed in the technical aspects of crypto. I’ll also be doing showcases of new projects I'm interested in and believe have great potential.

If you have any recommendations to help my writing or any projects I should look into please let me know :)

Hello dajellydanish! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.

Just curious, what are you going to study?
Are you planning to write mainly about crypto or perhaps something else as well?
I've also just recently joined Steemit myself and I find the community to be really chill for the most part, however the stuff I post about is quite one-sided :) it's all about gaming

I'll be studying health sciences! For now I'm going to stick to crypto but I may branch out as time goes on! Perhaps I might even join you in the gaming section :P
