Introduction: 8 Relevant Questions Answered
Hi! My real name is Allyssa, 24, and I am from Philippines. Blah, blah, blah. Now, what else? Being an INFP, it has always been hard for me to introduce myself in a casual way, so I thought why not look for questions online and answer them as honestly as I can.
So if you want to get to know me and the things I can share here in #Steemit, then please keep on reading.
Question #1: What are you really passionate about and why? I am passionate about classical art. I am a visual artist born and raised in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. The ultimate goal is to make the art movement more accessible to everyone. Hopefully it won't stay only as a dream. (Check my fresh website at carbonmade!)
Question #2: What was your favorite year and why? Surely 2017! Why? Because I started drawing again after not being able to draw anything for 2 freakin' years.
Question #3: If you could meet someone who’s dead who would it be? The first person that came to mind was Freddie Mercury. I'd love to hear him sing in person, and not just in my dreams.
Question #4: What’s one song you really relate to? _Definitely High Hopes of _Kodaline!
Question #5: Where is your favorite travel get-away? I haven't visited a lot of places yet, but Dubai Miracle Garden is really heaven on earth. (Note: photos below were taken by me.)
Question #6: Do you think an animal’s life is just as valuable as a human’s life? Of course! Just because it's an animal, doesn't mean it cannot feel pain, suffering, and loss. And also, before I came to Dubai, my good friends and I started a rescue team for stray, neglected animals. God knows how much we wanted to make it work, but unfortunately everyone is so busy with school and work. Still hoping for it to happen in the near future though!
Question #7: Do you like what you see when you look in the mirror? Self-love is something I am also very passionate about, but to answer your question, no, I do not like what I see in the mirror, but I'm trying.
Question #8: What’s the most important thing on your bucket list? _Attending an Atelier in Europe. Shout out to the most remarkable atelier for me, my dream school: _The Florence Academy of Arts!

Why weren't you able to draw anything for 2 years? And what made you start drawing again?
Hello, @plushzilla ! Thank you for your question. The last legit drawing I did was December of year 2014, after that I just fell into a coma. Just like that. August of 2015, I came to Dubai and started a day job which required my attention, so the coma continued. A year later (August 2016), I got so depressed (again), and I was so stressed with a lot of things. Mainly because I wanted to go home already. Things became complicated, and it really took its toll, until I decided to just let go of everything completely and start drawing again in my birth month which is June. :) Letting go of things and thinking about my ultimate goal made me start drawing again.
P.S. Sorry if it's too long, hihi.
I found it quite interesting why we suddenly abandon some of the things that bring us joy and happiness when the less pleasant things in life weigh on our mind. It was during periods of tedious work and also unemployment that I 'forced' myself to channel some of the stress and angst into more creative endeavours, and it is always a reminder when I see other people going through similar struggles. I think you'll find no shortage of encouragement and support here on Steemit :)
