What The Cuck!?

Free speech is under assault by the powers that be, once again. Slowly but surely, in small increments and without the mainstream audience noticing it, free speech is dying an agonizing and slow death.

If you have a YouTube channel where your audience can place reactions in the comment-section, you may notice that some of the comments on your videos are mysteriously disappearing... Three days ago, one of my favorite YouTubers, David Stewart published a short video about how he discovered this; it's linked below this post. It seems that YouTube hast started to "soft-ban" the word "cuck." This means that any comments, in the past, present or future, containing that word will not be visible and owners of the channel will not get a notification about that comment. It's only a "soft" ban, because the owner of the channel has the opportunity to manually reveal the comment, if he or she so wishes.

This is only one word, but it's already one word too many, and there are surely more to come. I invite you to look at the short video, as David gives us a look at the management section of his channel and shows exactly how YouTubers can moderate their comments-sections. During this short explanatory tour, he stumbles upon a comment containing the word "clown," which apparently is associated with some meme that's associated with the far-right or alt-right...? I wouldn't know and I don't care, because even if that's true, what gives you the right to limit their speech? Why do you think it's okay to single out political opinions that are not to your liking and bury them?

These kinds of sneaky stabs in the back of free speech won't even be noticed by the general audience until it's too late. David Stewart really is one of the nicest and cordial persons you'll ever meet, as far as we get to know him through his videos at least, and it's a damn shame and truly alarming that even he has to fear for demonetization of his videos, and not even for something he published himself, but because he gets connected to other users by the algorithms, other users that were deemed to be of questionable reputation by those same algorithms. Really, if there ever was a perfect time for a true decentralized internet, it's right now.
