Tweety And Disaster

Does anyone still know who Tweety and Sylvester are? Do the phrases "I thought I saw a pussycat... I did! I did saw a pussycat!!" still ring a bell? Anyone?

Well... Maybe I'm not THAT old ;-) I'm sure everyone knows Tweety and Sylvester, but today's topic is Trumps tweets; they are much like the man himself, a disaster... Wait, let me take that back. Of course he's not a disaster. Or I can't know anything about his real personality, intelligence and morals, as he's the current starring role in the ongoing fiction movie that is The Best Democracy Money Can Buy. I'm talking about that fictional, bigger than life character; maybe he's a totally fine dude if you know him personally, maybe he's a perfectly normal husband and father, I wouldn't know. But the way he portrays the character of the POTUS is lacking. With "lacking" being the euphemism of the century...

The stock-markets today took a plunge, and all it took were, once again as this has happened several times already, some tweets. Tweets that clearly lack (there's that euphemism again) any thought behind them, if we are forgiving in our judgement of these damning text-messages. If we were of a more malicious mind, we could easily qualify the words in these tweets as hostile, as a betrayal to every hard working American, as a landmine under the fragile construct that is the current state of the world economy. Ever heard about the "Everything-Bubble"? Regardless, Trump brought us that much closer to it popping.

I'll just keep it short and quote the text that caused the market index to plummet minutes after it was released by the POTUS, in case you managed to miss it, and leave it there for you to form your own opinion. Oh, and read Apple's Pot Of Gold to get an idea of what the role of China is on the world economic stage...

Our country has lost, stupidly, Trillions of Dollars with China over many years. They have stolen our Intellectual Property at a rate of Hundreds of Billions of Dollars a year, & they want to continue. I won't let that happen! We don't need China and, frankly, would be far better off without them. The vast amounts of money made and stolen by China from the United States, year after year, for decades, will and must STOP. Our great American companies are hereby ordered to immediately start looking for an alternative to China, including bringing your companies HOME and making your products in the USA. I will be responding to China's Tariffs this afternoon. This is a GREAT opportunity for the United States. Also, I am ordering all carriers, including Fed Ex, Amazon, UPS and the Post Office, to SEARCH FOR & REFUSE, all deliveries of Fentanyl from China (or anywhere else!). Fentanyl kills 100,000 Americans a year. President Xi said this would stop - it didn't. Our Economy, because of our gains in the last 2 1/2 years, is MUCH larger than that of China. We will keep it that way!

It's a good thing all this isn't real and just a fiction movie called "Democracy", because if it would be real, this wouldn't be funny at all. The leader of the free world closes with "ha! mine's bigger than yours!" Now, I ask you, who wouldn't be utterly reassured by such competent leadership?
