Chicago is now demanding Smollett to pay $130,000 USD to cover the overtime investigation... So what?

I think President Trump is correct on this one, and I think there is more about the whole Jussie Smollett case. 16 counts of crime - all the sudden EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM IS DROPPED? Now his lawyer is coming out claiming that he did nothing of what the Chicago police investigated?! Sure, the city of Chicago is now demanding Smollett to pay $130,000 USD to cover the overtime investigation, see here. BUT THIS GUY MAKES ALMOST $1M! Give me a break! If we let people like these to get away from what he did, then who in the future is going to trust the true victims?!
