A decoction is a long, low temperature cook that draws solutions out of woody plant material. The woodier the longer it takes.

I slept wrong in my right elbow. It wouldn't bend when I woke up, so I put comfrey on it when I started writing you this morning. It no longer hurts, and I am using it just fine. 😊
It is a royal pain, but it is worth the effort!
