"Carlos Eduardo Marrón Colmenares is a true criminal who has not cared to put the black market dollar parallel to almost a terrorist price," said the Attorney General Tarek William Saab on Thursday, who added that he will be charged with the crimes of dissemination of false information - contemplated in the Law of the Exchange Regime - as well as legitimization of capital and association to commit a crime, foreseen in the Law Against Organized Crime and Financing of Terrorism.
So here's the thing: As i said in this short post, our currency has lost 50% of its value in the last 7 days, in other words, 100% inflation rate in just a week. This webpage (now extinct due to this events), showed the highest market rates of the USD, pumping the value up in a very short period of time.
This individual, Carlos Marrón, was living in Miami. So, how did he get caught?
Well, this is the story:
What the AG Tarek William Saab didn't say is that the man was forced to return to Venezuela from Miami, after the kidnapping that the DGCIM (Military Contraintelligence Agency) executed against his father in Valle Arriba, Caracas.

After taking his father, DGCIM officials, being pretending to be common criminals, contacted Marrón to tell him that if he did not return to the country to manage the release of his father, they would kill him. For this reason, a desperate Carlos Marrón took a LASER Airlines flight from Miami to Caracas. Once in Maiquetía (Airport near Caracas), he was immediately captured by the kidnappers officials of the DGCIM.
This is how the criminal government of Venezuela acts with the endorsement of the AG Tarek William Saab and the chief of the TSJ (Supreme Justice Court) mafia, Maikel Moreno.
So Venezuelans who live abroad: Be careful about you do out there. Anything could be used to harm you or your families.
